The Village People were an American disco group in the 1970’s known for its on-stage costumes and suggestive lyrics in their music. Scoring several disco and dance hits internationally, including the hit singles “Macho Man”, “In the Navy”, “Go West”, and “Y.M.C.A.”, which was their biggest hit.

Sylvester was an American singer-songwriter in the genres of disco, rhythm and blues, and soul. Known for his flamboyant and androgynous appearance, falsetto singing voice, and hit disco singles in the late 1970s and 1980s. During the late 1970s, Sylvester gained the moniker of the “Queen of Disco” and during his life he attained particular recognition in San Francisco, where he was awarded the key to the city. Inventor of the incredible anthem “You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)!”
